U.S. Pushes One National AI Policy

Snl Ai GIF by Saturday Night Live

The Trump administration released a new AI legislative framework today, aiming to create one national standard instead of letting every state make its own rules.

What’s in it:

  • A single federal AI policy that overrides state-level regulations

  • New child safety protections for AI platforms

  • Standards for building and powering AI data centers

  • Direction for Congress to address copyright and creator rights

  • Rules to prevent AI from censoring lawful political speech

  • Oversight of both AI tools and the infrastructure behind them

This would make it easier for AI companies to operate and scale without dealing with 50 different laws, while giving the federal government more control over how AI is developed and used as adoption continues to grow.

That’s a Wrap for Today 👋
