The company will phase out these features by November 25 and pivot toward safer, creative tools like AI storytelling and short video generation. CEO Karandeep Anand says the move, though likely to drive teen users away, is a necessary step toward building a more responsible AI ecosystem and setting a new safety standard for the industry.

Nvidia just made history as the first public company to hit a $5 trillion market cap, riding a 5.6% surge in its stock after fresh headlines tied to both Washington and Beijing. President Trump confirmed he’ll be discussing Nvidia’s Blackwell chips with China’s President Xi a move that could shape the future of global AI trade. Meanwhile, CEO Jensen Huang dropped another bombshell, revealing $500 billion in expected AI chip sales and plans to build seven new U.S. supercomputers for defense, energy, and science each powered by thousands of Nvidia GPUs.

The company also announced a $1 billion investment in Nokia to help usher in AI-driven 5G and 6G networks, deepening its reach beyond data centers. Nvidia’s meteoric rise — up more than 50% this year — underscores its stranglehold on the GPU market, where scarcity and scale are keeping demand sky-high. In an era when AI is being likened to the next internet revolution, Nvidia isn’t just leading the race it’s defining it.
