Meta Expands Parental Controls for Teen AI Chats: Meta is rolling out new tools to give parents more oversight of how teens interact with AI characters across its apps. Starting early next year, parents will be able to block specific AI characters, view conversation topics, or turn off AI chats completely. The update reflects Meta’s push to make its platforms safer for teens as regulators and parents raise concerns about AI and social media’s impact on youth.

Adobe Launches Custom AI Foundry for Brands: Adobe just rolled out Adobe AI Foundry, a new service that lets companies build custom generative AI models trained on their own branding and content. The platform fine-tunes Adobe’s Firefly models which already power billions of creative assets to produce text, images, video, and even 3D designs unique to each business. Adobe says the goal isn’t to replace creatives but to give them smarter tools for faster, on-brand storytelling at scale.

Reddit Expands AI Search to More Languages: Reddit is rolling out its AI-powered search to five new languages, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese, giving users in countries like Brazil, France, and Mexico access to chat-style search. Powered by a Google AI model, the feature lets users ask questions and get conversational answers through Reddit Answers. The move signals Reddit’s push to make AI-driven search more global as chat-based search tools continue to reshape how people find information online.

The Internet’s Favorite “Encyclopedia” Is Losing Readers…. Here’s Why

Wikipedia’s traffic is slipping, with human visits down 8 percent from last year, according to the Wikimedia Foundation. A recent update to its bot detection system revealed that some of the earlier spikes were driven by bots pretending to be real users. But the bigger trend is how people are getting their information. More users are turning to AI-generated answers and short-form videos instead of visiting traditional sites like Wikipedia. While the foundation says its content still powers much of what people read online, fewer direct visits could mean fewer volunteer editors and donors. The team is now working on ways to credit Wikipedia content more clearly and bring new readers back to the source.

That’s a Wrap for Today 👋
