Gemini Is Coming to Your Car: Google is rolling out its AI assistant Gemini to cars with built-in Google systems, replacing the traditional Google Assistant with a more conversational, hands-free experience. Drivers will be able to ask natural questions, get real-time navigation insights, control music, and even receive vehicle-specific answers pulled directly from their car’s manual. The update will also bring features like message summaries, trip planning help, and brainstorming on the go, all through voice interaction. The rollout starts in the U.S. and will expand over time, including updates to existing vehicles through software upgrades.

Stripe Launches Wallet for AI Agents: Stripe introduced a new digital wallet called Link, built to let AI agents make purchases on a user’s behalf without exposing sensitive payment details. The system allows users to approve transactions in real time while giving agents limited, controlled access through tools like one-time-use cards and shared payment tokens. As more people experiment with autonomous AI, this aims to make automated spending safer while still giving users full visibility and control.

X Rebuilds Its Ad Platform With AI: X has started rolling out a rebuilt advertising platform powered by AI, aiming to win back advertisers after a rough stretch in ad revenue. The new system focuses on smarter targeting, better ad placement, and easier campaign creation as the company leans into the broader AI-driven ad boom across tech. While its ad business is still smaller than before, recent growth shows it may finally be moving in the right direction.

ChatGPT Introduces Advanced Account Security

OpenAI announced a new feature called Advanced Account Security, aimed at protecting user accounts from unauthorized access as more people rely on ChatGPT for sensitive work and personal use. The update focuses on strengthening how users log in, recover accounts, and monitor activity, while giving them more control over their data and privacy.

What Actually Changed:

  • Passwords are out → you now need passkeys or physical security keys to log in

  • No easy recovery → email and SMS recovery are removed, replaced with stricter methods

  • If you lose access, you’re on your own → support can’t recover accounts under this setting

  • Sessions don’t last as long → less risk if your account is left open somewhere

  • You’ll know if something’s off → alerts and session tracking across devices

  • Your data stays yours → conversations won’t be used for model training

  • One setting covers everything → protection applies to both ChatGPT and Codex

  • Hardware security is being pushed → discounted keys through Yubico

  • Not optional for some → required for certain cybersecurity users starting June 2026

What This Means:

This is a shift toward locking accounts down much tighter as AI becomes more embedded in daily work. It raises the level of protection, but also raises the stakes. If you turn this on, you’re getting stronger security, but you’re also taking full responsibility for keeping access to your account.

That’s a Wrap for Today 👋
