Google Expands AI Mode to Spanish Users: Google is rolling out its AI-powered search experience, AI Mode, to Spanish-speaking users, giving them access to conversational queries, image uploads, and deeper topic exploration. The move follows August’s global expansion to 180 countries and adds to a wave of new AI features, including conversational photo editing and broader access to its AI subscription tiers. With AI Mode now supporting multiple languages, Google is racing to make its Gemini-driven experience a core part of Search even as users work to untangle it from similar tools like AI Overviews.
Meta Pushes Back on State AI Rules: Meta is launching the American Technology Excellence Project, a super PAC funded with tens of millions to counter a flood of state-level AI regulations. The group will back tech-friendly candidates from both parties in the 2026 midterms, focusing on AI progress, U.S. tech leadership, and parental control in kids’ online experiences. The move comes as over 1,000 AI-related bills circulate nationwide, with Silicon Valley warning that a patchwork of state rules could slow innovation while China races ahead.
Google Supercharges Play Store with AI: Google is overhauling the Play Store with a fresh design, personalized tabs, and Gemini AI baked into everything from app search to gaming help. A new You tab centralizes subscriptions, rewards, and recommendations, while curated spaces highlight seasonal content and user interests. For gamers, the big play is the AI Sidekick, an in-game overlay that dishes out real-time tips and strategies so you never have to leave your screen to hunt for answers.
The Effortless Business Bootcamp
Right now, every time you grow, your workload grows too. More clients = more chaos. More sales = more late nights. Deep down, you know your current systems can’t keep up and that means your business has a built-in ceiling. If you don’t fix it now, you’ll burn out long before you break through.
The Bootcamp is where we rebuild that foundation. You’ll learn how to design scalable AI-powered systems that expand with you. From automating client onboarding to keeping your content pipeline flowing, you’ll discover how to build processes that multiply your output without multiplying your hours. Growth shouldn’t mean working harder; it should mean working smarter.
AI to Decide Medicare Care? Critics Sound Alarm
Starting Jan. 1, the Trump administration is rolling out WISeR, a pilot that hands AI algorithms a say in which Medicare services get greenlit. On paper, it’s about cutting “wasteful care.” In practice? Critics say it’s a dressed-up version of prior authorization the same delay-and-deny tactic that patients and doctors already hate.
The program will run through 2031 in six states including Arizona, Ohio, Oklahoma, New Jersey, Texas, and Washington and target procedures the government calls vulnerable to “fraud, waste, and abuse.” Think skin and tissue substitutes or nerve stimulator implants. CMS insists every denial will still get a “human clinician review,” but vendors stand to profit when less care is delivered, a setup that experts warn creates a dangerous incentive to block treatment.
Lawmakers across the aisle are pushing back, saying the plan feels half-baked and risks harming seniors who can’t afford delays in care. Even physicians who support AI in theory are questioning whether this model prioritizes patient outcomes or just Medicare’s bottom line.

Turnitin Clarity Gains Traction in U.S. Schools

Turnitin, the company best known for plagiarism detection in schools, says nearly 100 U.S. secondary schools and districts have piloted its new Clarity tool in just 60 days, showing how fast educators are moving to tame AI in the classroom. Unlike old-school detectors, Clarity pulls back the curtain on the writing process itself, giving teachers visibility into how students build their work, not just the final product. With educators drowning in grading fatigue and students fumbling with ethical AI use, Turnitin is pitching Clarity as a “show your work” fix: more feedback, less guesswork, and a shot at keeping academic integrity alive in an AI-saturated world.
